Happiest moments of Diwali..

Date: 10th Nov 2008

It's Diwali! Boom, crash as all are firing crackers. It's time to have a happy Diwali so I went to home. Only the crackers come with fire and there's much more noise. It's taken four days to get used to the sudden blasts throught the streets of colourful city, but now it's the main event and Rajkot is pounding. Slap, smack the crackers.

As I am not firing crackers since long 5 years coz I adore to have a green Diwali, so looked outside to see the streams of colours burst over the city creates childlike fun. Everyone I meet is cheerful and Happy Diwali messages have come throughout the day and night. Bang, bang. The shops are full of specials and the mood is light and free. Thud, thud.

Everyone worships God and giving wishes to each other for Diwali and New Year. Its worth to spend a good time with family and friends and had wishes from elders. Tried to create Rangoli outside the home full of colours, but didn't work as it has to be.

It's nice to watch the sparkles in people's eyes as they talk about what they're going to be doing for the festival of lights. Bubble, crash. And all night party here, time at home there. This all are happiest moments added in the precious memories of my life. Thump, splat. I'd like to say for certain the fireworks went on all night, as promised, but I don't know. The background noise helped send me to sleep.

Wishing you all a Happy New Year,
May happiness shine on you and may God bless you with grand and glorious beginning..
